FUJIFILM SONOSOFT SOLIDIFIES WORKFLOW WITH SYNCHRONICITY

FUJIFILM SonoSite Inc., developers of point-of-care ultrasound solutions, has entered the medical informatics space with the launch of SonoSite Synchronicity, designed to optimize workflows by integrating with existing data management systems and enabling the use of current user login credentials. The software can be implemented across multiple departments in an organization to standardize operations.

In addition, the software’s simplified reporting process helps users ensure that all exams comply with billing requirements. It is also vendor-neutral and interfaces with all point-of-care ultrasound devices, helping organizations with standardization and compliance.

President and Chief Operating Officer Rich Fabian said customers had been asking for a solution that can securely centralize and standardize ultrasound exam data. And that is exactly what we built with our new SonoSite Synchronicity solution.

“Our customers no longer need to seek workflow solutions from third party vendors. Instead, they can have confidence in a secure, single-vendor approach.””

Diku Mandavia, MD and senior vice president and chief medical officer of FUJIFILM SonoSite Inc. and FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A. Inc., said “SonoSite Synchronicity software provides a comprehensive solution to administrative challenges faced by point-of-care clinicians.

“Enabling workflow related to credentialing, quality assurance and billing ultimately improves patient care,” Dr.  Mandavia said.

He said adhering to Protected Health Information guidelines, the Synchronicity solution helps organizations achieve higher security confidence through multi-factor login and Active Directory authentication.

“It permits the granting or denying of access based on specialty, department and user profile, and it also allows users to gain access from any network connected device and export data to other media – all while maintaining HIPAA compliance.” VTN
