DONNING TWO PAIRS OF SURGICAL GLOVES  AS FAST AS PUTTING ON ONE PAIR

Putting on two pairs of gloves is a common occurrence in medicine, particularly among surgeons who work with sharp instruments. It’s frustrating and feels like a waste of time, but that’s reality. Now there are gloves that come already doubled, while being easy to snap on.

The GAMMEX PI Glove-in-Glove  (https://www.medgadget.com/2018/01/put-two-surgical-gloves-fast-one-gammex-pi-glove-glove-system.html) system from Ansell, a company with offices in Iselin, N.J., and Melbourne, Australia, comes as two pairs of two gloves whose fingers are comfortably pre-aligned and are as easy to put on as one pair. Each pair comes in its own package, in some cases potentially saving a bit on the amount of packaging that’s thrown away over four separate gloves.

The inner glove is bright green colored, while the exterior one is natural skin-like color. If the exterior glove is damaged by a scalpel, for example, the green from the glove below suddenly pops out – a safety feature for clinicians. VTN
