46th VEITHSYMPOSIUM SET FOR NOV. 19-23
VEITHsymposium is planning the 46th Annual Symposium for Nov. 19-23 at the New York Hilton Midtown. The five-day event features rapid-fire presentations from world renowned vascular specialists with emphasis on the latest advances, changing concepts in diagnosis and management, pressing controversies and new techniques

VIETHSymposium provides vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, interventional cardiologists and other vascular specialists with a unique and exciting format to learn the most current information about what is new and important in the treatment of vascular disease.
Frank J. Veith, MD, is symposium chairman. He is assisted by co-chairmen Enrico Ascher, MD; Sean P. Lyden, MD; and Kenneth Ouriel, MD, MBA.
The 34-member scientific committee is still working on the 2019 program. Component meeting leaders include Jose I. Almeida, MD, RPVI, RVT; George L. Berdejo, BA, RVT; Allan L. VEITHsymposium also welcomes medical students who may be interested in pursuing a career in vascular surgery. Sessions offer insight into open surgery and endovascular approaches in treating patients with vascular disease. The meeting offers medical students an opportunity to meet leaders in the vascular surgery field.

- Acute and chronic thoracic aortic disease: Diagnosis, aortic aneurysms, dissections and repair.
- Lower extremity disease: Including diagnosis, interventional treatments (stents), open surgery, managing patients.

- Hands on venous workshops.
