Dr. J. Gordon Wright earned his medical degree from Loyola University, graduating Cum Laude. His residency was also completed at Loyola University in General Surgery. Dr. Wright continued his education and obtained a fellowship from Boston University in Vascular Surgery and from Nottingham University in Endovascular. His board certifications are in General and Vascular Surgery. Membership and leadership roles in a multitude of professional associations keep Dr. Wright in touch with his colleagues and up to date on the latest medical advancements. Dr. Wright is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and the National Board of Surgery. He’s a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American College of Phlebology. Recently, the American College of Phlebology elected Dr. Wright to Chairman of the ACCME application committee and the preceptorship training program committee. Dr. Wright is a member of the American Medical Association, the Illinois State Medical Society, the Chicago Medical Society, and the Chicago Endovascular Surgery Society. He is the past president of the Peripheral Vascular Surgery Society and the Academy of Surgical Research. Dr. Wright has been a valued participant in dozens of FDA approved clinical trials and is published in all areas of vascular disorders. Dr. Wright’s special area of Expertise in Phlebology is in the treatment of venous stasis ulcers. |
