National, a women’s clothing and hosiery retailer, has added a new line of compression hosiery called “Just Comfort.” “Just Comfort hosiery was designed with our diverse customers in mind,” said Lynda Smith Swann, National president. Just Comfort hosiery offers three levels of compression (mild: 8-15 mmHg, moderate: 15-20 mmHg and firm: 20-30 mmHg) and five styles (knee highs, panty hose, thigh highs, over the knee, and socks) in a range of sizes and colors.
”It is designed to look and fit like fashion hosiery with its silky finish and non-run feature, while offering the preventive benefits of compression therapy,” Mrs. Swann said. A unique feature this line brings is the reciprocated heel-and-toe pockets that allow the hosiery to be worn with less constriction in the feet.
“Just Comfort stands apart from the competition with its antibacterial finish, moisture-wicking ability and three compression levels at pacesetting, affordable prices,” she said.
In the medical community, compression hosiery is known to provide relief for those who suffer from a variety of leg problems and circulation-related conditions, including aching, tired, heavy legs; varicose veins, and spider veins that are caused by long periods of standing or sitting.
National reminds women that they should consult with a doctor before wearing compression stockings above 30 mmHg, if you have arterial circulation problems, or if you intend to use compression stockings as a treatment and preventative for diabetics from developing venous or arterial ulcers in their lower legs.
