National Vascular Care Inc. (NVC), an organization based in Rosemont, Penn., that was created to improve the delivery system for patients’ outpatient vascular care, has expanded through agreements for five new managed centers.
NVC (nationalvascular.com) operates outpatient vascular centers in partnership with nephrologists, cardiologists, interventional radiologists and vascular surgeons who share in all financial and operational decisions. All of NVC’s managed facilities perform angioplasty, declotting/thrombectomies, catheter placement/removals and vein mapping in a comfortable, patient-focused center. In addition, many centers also perform peripheral vascular angiography ranging from diagnostic aortograms to peripheral vascular angioplasty and stent placement.
NVC, which provides all of the operational and administrative functions for its partner centers, has executed agreements with: • Indiana Medical Associates in Fort Wayne, Ind., which opened in September 2007; • The Centers for Dialysis Care in Cleveland, which opened in October 2007; • Jefferson Radiology, P.C. in Hartford, Conn., which opened in March; • Capital Nephrology Associates in Austin, Texas, which will open in July; and • Central Texas Kidney Associates in Austin, which will open in July. These managed centers, along with NVC’s center in Virginia Beach, Va., create a foundation for a national presence.
“We’re committed to significantly improving the level of vascular care in every market we operate in by partnering with that community’s leading physicians whether they are nephrologists, vascular surgeons, cardiologists or interventional radiologists,” said Ron Rodgers, CEO and co-founder of National Vascular Care.
“Our centers have been very successful and we are excited about increasing the quality of and accessibility to care in our new markets in 2008.” VTN
