IntegraMed America Inc. (veinclinics.com/vcaflorida/bocaraton.html), an operator of fertility centers and vein clinics in the United States, has opened its 29th U.S. vein clinic in Boca Raton, Fla.
The Vein Clinics of America Boca Raton location, IntegraMed’s third vein clinic in Southeastern Florida, is led by phlebologist Christopher Perez, MD. IntegraMed also has Vein Clinics of America (VCA) in Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. The demographics of Boca Raton, with its large community of retired adults, provides a population that Kush Agarwal, president of IntegraMed’s Vein Clinics division, says Boca Raton has needed a focused vein care solutions provider.
The physicians of VCA specialize in treating the entire spectrum of vein abnormalities, including varicose veins, spider veins, venous leg ulcers, facial veins, hand veins, Klippel-Trenaunay Syndrome and Restless Legs Syndrome resulting from venous reflux.
Dr. Perez earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan and served his residency at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Medical Center in New York. He is board certified in emergency medicine and is a major in the United States Army Medical Corps.
He is proficient in endovenous laser treatment (ELT), a minimally invasive, outpatient laser treatment. Dr. Perez is also accomplished in VCA’s published treatment protocol, COMPASS (Comprehensive Objective Mapping, Precise Image Guided Injection, anti-reflux Positioning and Sequential Sclerotherapy), which has been described as a “safe and highly efficacious” technique in the management of extensive large vein disease.
“Christopher Perez is a highly accomplished physician and skilled phlebologist who brings tremendous experience and compassion to the task of treating vein disease,” Agarwal said. ”Working from this newly completed, state-of-the-art clinic, outfitted with the latest in laser and other vein treatment technologies, Dr. Perez and his team are uniquely positioned to deliver the highest level of patient care available in the area.” The clinic is located at 5550 Glades Road, Suite 210, just west of Interstate 95. The phone number is 561-750-2251, and more information is available at veinclinics.com/vcaflorida/bocaraton.html.
Established in 1981, VCA is the largest medical group in the country dedicated to the non-surgical treatment of vein disorders. The company will open four more vein centers this year.
VCA, a wholly owned subsidiary of IntegraMed America, is based in Downers Grove, Ill., with operations in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, North Carolina, Kansas, Virginia and Wisconsin, and operates veinclinics.com, a vein care web portal. VTN
