Cosmetic laser procedure market to continue 2007’s phenomenal growth PDF Print E-mail

In the world of cosmetic lasers, technology has caught up with people’s expectations creating what Research and Markets.com states is a potentially new blockbuster market, according to interviews with leading cosmetic laser experts in medspas and laser clinics.
Laser clinics in the United States reported double digit growth in 2007 over 2006. The report’s author forecasts that the cosmetic laser procedure market could grow by well more than 100 percent over the next three years, allowing skincare and cellulite treatments to drive increased sales to clinics and medspas.

However, the report, “Cosmetic Laser Procedure Market—US 2008” (researchandmarkets.com/reports/c85816), states that laser hair removal procedure sales  have probably peaked.

Laser procedures are meeting consumer demand for fast solutions to some of the most common beauty problems of both men and women. Top cosmetic laser procedures are hair removal; skin rejuvenation; skin tightening; blemish removal, damage repair due to sun, acne, tattoos; veins; and cellulite.
The key attractions of the cosmetic laser procedure is that it is easy, painfree and of long term duration, which are of premium value to people with busy lifestyles.

Laser procedures are taking consumers and their beauty dollars from established (and more traditional) salons and spas. They are also expanding the consumer base, as they attract new and younger clients. Indeed, almost a third of cosmetic laser clients could be new to the professional beauty market.  VTN
